Norm has to change the career path of a young prostitute or his boss will send him to jail. Instead of helping her, he pays her to lie that she has become a fry cook. When his guilt, helped out by Laurie, overcomes him, he turns her in to the authorities despite her threats to report his bribe.

Danny passes off an incredibly bad smelling client who is afraid of water on Laurie, and Laurie makes Danny take a shower with him. Norm tries to encourage his shy client to hit on a woman, but ends up hitting on her himself. They start dating and it turns out that she's one of Laurie's clients, and always dates guys to make her ex-boyfriend jealous.

Danny's dad visits and gives more attention to Norm than his own son. Danny thinks it's because Norm is replacing him as Harry's son, but really it's because Harry wants to get into Norm's pants. Amy, the new social worker tries to prove herself, and pretends to be much more knowledgable than she is.

Laurie seeks comfort from Norm when she has trouble falling asleep with her new boyfriend. Norm tries to regain his macho hockey player personality to impress a woman who likes bad boys. Danny gets a hair piece and a girlfriend.

Norm goes out drinking with a client and wakes up in rehab. He tries to convince everyone he's not an alcoholic, but ends up pretending to be one when it gets him out of work.

Mr. Denby become the new boss, and his "waste time until my pension kicks in" attitude is perfect for Norm, but a nightmare for Laurie.

Norm encourages Mr. Denby's son to follow his dream of becoming a chef, until he discovers that the kid's secret ingredient is marijuana. Molly thinks her job is too depressing, and Laurie tries to prove her wrong.

Norm accidentally sleeps with the most annoying woman in the office. Laurie's new van with food for the homeless has been approved, but she needs to get her driver's license in order to drive it, and she has a tendency to freeze up during the test. Sanchez has trouble finding a very hairy man a job in food preparation.

Norm takes on a high-profile case to prove he's worthy enough to play in a charity hockey game, and ends up with an elderly house guest who's a worse liar than Norm himself.

Norm is training for the upcoming charity hockey game. When he looks up his old coach for some help, it turns out the man once known as "The Panther" is now a fat slob, and the reason he's a fat slob is because he's drowning his sorrows in food. Norm finds out that it was his coach that turned in him for tax evasion. Norm has Danny train him instead, and scores the winning goal for his team.
